Sweet and Sour Pork


Sweet and Sour Pork



Pork 250gms( cut into 1inch cubes)
Salt 1tsp
Pepper ½ tsp
Wine 2tbsp
Carrot 2cups(diced)
Eggs 2
Flour 2tbsp
Cornstarch 4tbsp
Vegetable oil 4cups
Onion 1cup(diced)
Cucumber 2cups(diced)
Garlic 4cloves(minced)
Tomato ketchup 6tbsp
Soy sauce 2tsp
Vinegar 6tbsp
Sugar 6tbsp
Water 1cup
Cornstarch 2Tbsp

Method

1 Mix pork with salt pepper and wine.
2 Parboil carrots
3 Mix egg,flour and cornstarch well. Coat pork with the mixture
4 Heat oil and drop the pork pieces, one by one. Deep fry until well done , over medium heat. Drain
5 Fry carrot, onion, cucumber for a minute and drain
6 Mix Tomato ketchup, soy sauce, vinegar, sugar water and cornstarch well. Heat 4 tbsp oil, fry garlic, stir in the mixture and simmer until thickened. Add pork and vegetables, mix well. Serve hot
